I was a little worried about ordering this because I'd read a couple reviews that didn't think the fire looked real enough in their fireplace that was never used with a real fire. BUT, ours had been used a few times and had the black on the inside back.....so when the "fire" from this electric log set projects on ours with the black stuff...it looks GREAT! The heat is very adjustable or can be turned off completely, leaving on just the "flames". I actually think this looks better in person than in the pictures. And, most importantly, NO CLEAN UP! ;)

I love it. Very real and peaceful looking whether you use the heat or not. Easy to insert in the fireplace. I have a very small condo and I don't want to use my fireplace for a real fire. This firelog is perfect!

I was somewhat hesitant to pull the trigger and buy this item, but after watching the video review on the duraflame website, I decided to go for it. And I'm glad I did. There's nothing to the installation, just plug it in and light it up with the remote. Pretty cool. Plus the heater is perfect for my living room, which is only about 500 sq feet. If you're thinking about getting an electric fireplace insert, don't bother spending $500. Buy this one for $199 and get free shipping. You'll be happy you did!
